Aldar Sets New Sales Record Amidst LIVEX Launch
In a significant boost to Abu Dhabi’s real estate market, Aldar Properties has announced that it achieved over AED 5 billion in sales following the launch of two major residential developments, Talay and Yas Riva Reserve. This milestone coincides with the city’s hosting of the inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX), a global platform dedicated to discussing the intersection of liveability and economic growth.
High Demand for Waterfront Living
The impressive sales figures highlight the sustained demand for residential properties in Abu Dhabi, particularly in the highly sought-after waterfront communities located on Saadiyat and Yas Islands. Talay represents the first residential offering within Marsa Al Saadiyat, while Yas Riva Reserve introduces a gated waterfront community on the northeastern edge of Yas Island. Both projects are designed to cater to modern family lifestyles, offering a blend of aesthetic appeal and practical amenities.
Diverse Buyer Demographics
According to Aldar, the launch attracted a diverse range of buyers, with first-time customers making up 54% of the total. UAE nationals accounted for 31% of the purchases, while expatriates and international buyers contributed to the remaining 69%. Notably, the buyer demographic was varied, including individuals from the UAE, UK, Russia, Jordan, and India. Female buyers constituted 30% of the transactions, and a significant portion of the buyers, 55%, were under the age of 45.
Expert Insights
Jonathan Emery, CEO of Aldar Development, emphasized the critical role Abu Dhabi plays as a global investment hub. “The emirate is solidifying its position as a premier destination for living and investment, driven by its exceptional quality of life and strategic growth vision,” Emery stated. He pointed out that the consistent demand from both local and international buyers underscores the city’s growing appeal.
Community-Focused Designs
Both Talay and Yas Riva Reserve are meticulously designed to foster a strong sense of community and family living. Featuring lush green spaces and close proximity to the water, these developments aim to enhance the quality of life for residents by integrating nature into daily living. Talay, situated at the heart of Marsa Al Saadiyat, is part of a massive AED100 billion initiative to complete Saadiyat Island’s master plan, which will eventually accommodate over 58,000 residents. Yas Riva Reserve, on the other hand, offers a serene environment with convenient access to Yas Island’s attractions and facilities via a newly constructed bridge.
Future Prospects
The successful sales of Talay and Yas Riva Reserve are indicative of a broader trend in Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector, where demand for high-quality, well-located residential properties continues to rise. As LIVEX 2026 sets the stage for discussions on sustainable urban development, Aldar’s achievements underscore the emirate’s potential as a leader in the global real estate market. With a focus on combining liveability with investment potential, Abu Dhabi is poised to attract more international interest in the coming years.
